About

Welcome to Red Rose Arts Studio's Online Shop.  I'm Makeda and I make beautiful, handmade items designed to bring a little luxury into everyday life.

I create small batch, handmade pieces with attention to detail and a love of fine materials.

Offerings include:

    • book accessories (bookmarks, book sleeves, page holders)
    • knitted and crocheted items (shawls, scarves, wraps, home accessories)
    • key chains and small leather or fabric goods
    • seasonal and one of a kind pieces, and custom commissions

What I believe:

I believe that the beautiful things in life matter. A thoughtfully designed accessory can lift a day, make a gift feel personal, and turn ordinary routines into moments you look forward to.

I believe that handmade means care.  Most items are made start to finish by me (or by someone that I know and support), with careful finishing, high quality yarns/fabrics, and tasteful details. I focus on textures, color harmony, and lasting construction.

When it comes to custom work, I love working with customers to create pieces that reflect their taste and story. While not all of my work is commissioned, the ones that are custom have the following options:

    • colors, yarn choices, and sizing for knitted and crocheted items
    • personalized touches for bookmarks, key chains, and small accessories
    • bespoke gift sets for special occasions

Commissions begin with a conversation about what you want, timeline, and budget. I’ll provide progress photos and clear updates, so you know exactly what to expect.

Why shop here?

Thoughtful design, handcrafted quality, and a commitment to making customers feel good about what they own. Whether you’re treating yourself or choosing a meaningful gift, my pieces are made to be used, loved, and kept.
